Eviction Moratorium Extended

The moratorium on evictions in Hawai’i is being extended through the end of October. Governor Ige made the announcement about his plans to extend the moratorium Thursday during a Facebook Live discussion about the state’s rental assistance program. The state is offering $100-million in rental and mortgage support using funds from the federal CARES Act. Eligible renters in Kaua’i can receive up to $15-hundred per month that will be paid directly to landlords for rent due between August 1 and December 28.
