Blended Learning Plan to Start in October

The superintendent of the Hawai’i Department of Education said Thursday that public schools in the state will transistion to blended learning during the second quarter of the school year starting October 12. The blended learning plan would combine remote learning with in-person instruction. Plans would be adjusted based on the number of positive COVID-19 cases on each island. The teachers union calls the plan “dangerous” and is vowing to fight the plan.
