Teachers Union Unhappy With Re-Opening Plan

The Hawai’i State Teachers Association is still unhappy with the Department of Education’s plan for the new school year. Students are scheduled to meet in person with teachers starting Monday, August 17 to train on distance learning. Then, they will learn remotely through at least September 11th. The teacher’s union says they feel the current plan isn’t safe. Schools Superintendent Christina Kishimoto alled the teachers union’s concerns “fear mongering” and bad for relationships.
