Hurricane Douglas Threatens Hawai’i

County of Kaua‘i officials continue to monitor Hurricane Douglas, and are urging the public to get prepared and remain vigilant as any shift to Douglas’s track could result in severe weather impacts. Mayor Kawakami urged residents to remain vigilant and prepare for potential impacts from the storm. He said having a 14-day supply of food and water and an action plan for your family are vital. Douglas is expected to weaken to tropical storm status, but is still likely to strike Hawaii on Sunday.
